small things

It is not as I would have imagined it. I have yet to experience the life or death decision. I have seen none of the heroic intercessions or villainous schemes of the cartoons. Yet I have heard small unthoughtful comments, glances of displeasure and purposeful ignoring. Its the small things that build up. Its the small decisions that become unbearable. Love is present or missing in the instant as well as the life.

Looking Ahead

What will the new year hold in store? If I could script the year, what would the highpoints be? As my first entry, I expect to simply raise questions. How shall I use this space? My interests are varied: US coins, catechesis, 19th century, Scripture, Catholic history, apologetics, and beer.
